The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed regarding the substantial variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance level produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to enable the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
